The past September 5, 2009 himself I accomplish the first Live@Edu training for teachers. The same was accomplished in the installations of the high school San Jose with the participation of the teaching platter of the institution and local Microsoft’s subsidiary’s support.
This training gets constituted in a proposal of value in order that each teacher achieve :
Utilization of the different services that Live@Edu offers like complementary support in teaching’s processes and learning, considering the issues out of every social and educational context.
Implementation of the Live Edu like a tecno pedagogic platform that it will allow developing strategies for an adequate utilization of technology at the classroom.
Promoting the use and the concept of software + services in the educative sector.
At OSCON 2009 Microsoft Eduation Labs group released a Windows Live Services Plug-In for the open source Moodle e-learning platform. Moodle is an open source course management system that teachers use to publish learning content online.
Microsoft Live Services Plug-in for Moodle extends Windows Live Services to provide users working in Moodle with access to Live Services, like Skydrive, Windows Live Hotmail, Outlook Live, Windows Live Messenger, Spaces, Groups and so on.
The integrated experience via a single sign-on, lets teachers and students to enable collaboration and messaging for its teaching and learning proceses.
You can download this plug-in released under the General Public License v2 that integrates Microsoft’s Live@Edu services into the Moodle site. The code is entirely PHP based and open source.
