At OSCON 2009 Microsoft Eduation Labs group released a Windows Live Services Plug-In for the open source Moodle e-learning platform. Moodle is an open source course management system that teachers use to publish learning content online.
Microsoft Live Services Plug-in for Moodle extends Windows Live Services to provide users working in Moodle with access to Live Services, like Skydrive, Windows Live Hotmail, Outlook Live, Windows Live Messenger, Spaces, Groups and so on.
The integrated experience via a single sign-on, lets teachers and students to enable collaboration and messaging for its teaching and learning proceses.
You can download this plug-in released under the General Public License v2 that integrates Microsoft’s Live@Edu services into the Moodle site. The code is entirely PHP based and open source.
